Connector settings
Heartbeat, discovery ports, and the image-host guard.
Settings on the connector itself, reached from its page in the dashboard. These affect everything that connector runs, so they are the ones worth reading before you change them at a live site.

General
Behaviour
Off by default. Only turn this on if the customer serves ticket images from their own network.
General
| Setting | What it does | When to change it |
|---|---|---|
| Name | How this site is identified everywhere: lists, alerts, support conversations. | Set it to the venue at install time. Anything else costs you later. |
| Description | Free text. Nothing reads it. | For whoever opens this list in a year. |
Behaviour
Heartbeat interval
How often the connector reports that it is alive. It sets two things at once: how quickly a venue going dark shows up as offline, and how much idle traffic the site generates.
Raven sets this, and it is the same everywhere. One box can carry connectors for several integrators, so the interval is not a per-account choice: it is traffic on shared hardware, a shared line and our brokers. Ask us if a site genuinely needs a different one, for example a metered or poor connection where slower offline detection is an acceptable price.
Allow images from private/LAN hosts
An <img> in a ticket is fetched at the venue, so a URL in a ticket decides what the connector connects to. By default only public HTTPS addresses are allowed: without that limit, anything able to submit a ticket could reach machines on the customer's internal network that were never meant to be reachable from outside it.
Turn it on only when the customer genuinely serves their logo from a machine on their own network. Moving the image to a public HTTPS URL is the better answer where it is possible.
